1. Know Your Body Measurements

This is the most important practical section.

Don't just tell them "measure yourself." Explain exactly what to measure and where.

Bust

Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the measuring tape comfortably around your body.

Don't pull the tape too tightly.

Waist

Measure around your natural waistline — generally the narrowest part of your torso.

Keep your stomach relaxed while measuring.

Hips

Measure around the fullest part of your hips/seat.

Shoulder

Measure from one shoulder point to the other across the back.

Length

For a kurta/dress, measure from the highest point of your shoulder down to where you want the outfit to end.

Pro tip:

Don't measure over bulky clothing. Wear a thin top or measure directly over your regular innerwear for more accurate results.
